MORPHEUS (IST-4-027342) description of project structure.
Figure
1 work package structure
In order to achieve the defined objectives, MORPHEUS is structured in eight work-packages. The core of the project addresses technology developments,
decided from representative types of future high end embedded systems
requirements, and implemented through two technological WPs: • WP2: Methodologies and tools where
the common tool and methodology support is developed • These technology developments will be gradually integrated
in the WP4: Platform integration and monitoring.
Monitoring refers to matching the architecture developments and the
opportunity and feasibility analysis. As the project addresses
ambitious breakthroughs in an emerging domain of computing with
competition and believable technology progresses, it has to deal with
technical risks and must keep on the state of the art track. • These technical developments will be assessed by
Demonstrations (WP 7) where the measurements according to
representative metrics defined in WP5 will be ensured providing the
validation of • The Exploitation and Dissemination of the results are
performed within the WP6 and monitored by the Steering and Exploitation
board composed of representatives of the participants directly involved
in the exploitation of results. Its activities include the
identification of potential derivative commercial products. The WP6
will consequently be managed by ST. A special attention will be put on
the way to protect the research developments from an early exploitation
by Companies out of Europe. WP6 is not described here in more detail. • Regarding the cultural barrier and the stake of the changes
in the academic curricula we also propose to put a special emphasis on
Training activities in the WP8, where academic partners will provide
throughout the duration of the project knowledge and expertise to
students and industry. To give it more emphasis, the training activity
and results are described in a page that is directly accessible from
the main banner of this web site. n
